Attractions in Antibes - the best places in town!
One of the most pleasurable places to visit for a spot of retail therapy during a holiday in one of our villa rentals in the South of France is the town of Antibes. antibes villa rentals Situated right on the coast between Nice and Cannes, the town itself is a lively community which is just large enough to be exciting, but small enough to be visited on foot. Leave your car in any one of the car parks surrounding Port Vauban, incidentally the largest marina in Europe, and explore at your leisure this wonderful town, which is also home to some of our most exclusive villa rentals South of France. One of the first places to head for in the morning is the covered Provencal Market, in the Cours Massena. The market is full of fresh fruit, vegetables, delicious local cheese and meats, sadly it is only open until 1pm. After you have scoured the stalls for goodies, why not treat yourself to a slice of Socca before heading back to you villa? Socca, a local speciality, is a very thin pancake made of chic-pea flour sprinkled with pepper, a very tasty snack. • Pierrot La Lune: This charming toy shop is a veritable Aladdin’s cave of treats for all ages. But enter at your own peril as it is often impossible to leave empty handed.

  • Art T: A great little art gallery where you can pick up cards and posters whilst having a look at the exhibitions on view. Address: 3 Place Mariejol, 06600 Antibes

  • Oliviers & Co: Certainly a shop to visit before heading home after your holiday. Oliviers & Co is full of tempting bottles of Provence olive oil, Mediterranean specialities and biological cosmetics.

  • La Croisette: Take a short drive and stroll down the famous La Croisette and all the designer, boutique shops that line this beautiful street. Stop at Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Hermes on your way down before taking a break and a well deserved coffee or cocktail in one of the many cafes or bars.
