Where to Celebrate Halloween in Monaco

It’s Halloween in Monaco, that time of year when witches wander the streets as they make their way to ghoulish gatherings. We’ve concocted a bloodcurdling brew of horrible happenings. Are you brave enough?

Stars’n’Bars

A village of terror awaits you and the kids at Stars’n’Bars’ traditional Halloween night. A haunted house, a bouncy maze, a snake girl and a skeleton on stilts are among the spooky attractions that will keep your pint-sized witches, ghosts and ghouls fiendishly busy from 18.00 to 21.00. Booking is recommended.

Parc Princesse Antoinette and Jardin Exotique

If your kids go to school in Monaco, they’re invited to two free events in the Jardin Exotique district. From 14.00 to 17.00, children aged up to 12 can don their scariest costumes for a game called “L’Académie des Monstres” (The Monsters’ Academy), organised in the Parc Princesse Antoinette.

From 18:00, it will be time for the over-10s to be spooked in the Jardin Exotique’s Observatory Cave and garden, where themed music, decorations and surprises await them.

Oceanographic Museum, Monaco-Ville

The Oceanographic Museum hosts some scary inhabitants all year round but for the week of Halloween (which coincides with the school holidays), strange objects and “monsters” will be hiding in the aquariums for your kids to spot. Special activities will take place in the ‘Whale Room’ (Salle de la Baleine), where sea mammal skeletons are brought to life every hour with a sound and light show.

Buddha Bar, Monte Carlo

The Buddha Bar may be in the Carré d’Or and surrounded by the most exclusive of Monaco rentals, but the venue will be anything but Zen when it is transformed into a haunted house for its Halloween party. Expect prowling zombies, haunted trees, weird night creatures and devilishly delicious themed dishes. DJ PAPA will serve up the music.

La Rascasse, Port Hercules

Halloween in Monaco starts at 18.00 at La Rascasse and goes on way past the midnight hour. The theme is “haunted house” and if your costume takes ‘terrifying’ to new levels, you could win a bottle of Champagne. A DJ will spin spine-chilling sounds throughout the night. Free admission for those who dare to enter.

Casino Café de Paris Restaurant, Monte Carlo

If you’re not prepared to slap on scary make-up and dance Halloween night away, the Casino Café de Paris Restaurant will be serving a special gourmet menu: black ravioli with shrimp and pumpkin and fishbone jus, followed by spicy marinated chicken and sweet potato fries. Enjoy and wait for Halloween to end.
