The Cap d’Antibes is, without doubt, one of the most exclusive addresses on the French Riviera and the real estate market here includes some of the most coveted property for sale in the South of France –
if not the world.
The beautiful promontory sits between Antibes and Juan les Pins, two of the region’s most charming coastal towns each boasting an abundance of high-quality restaurants, boutiques, and some wonderful beaches. However, residents living on the Cap don’t have to go that far to enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea as the promontory – and indeed some of the most exclusive properties for sale on the Cap d’Antibes – have their very own beaches just meters away. There are a number of exceptional waterfront properties which cling to the contours of the coast and enjoy stunning views towards Antibes Old Town, or the Lerins Islands in the Baie de Cannes.
The Cap d’Antibes beaches may not be large, but what they lack in size they surely make up for in their unique beauty. Some properties for sale on the Cap d’Antibes have access to the following famous beaches:
- Plage de la Garoupe is on a pretty bay with some excellent restaurants at the water’s edge, on the Nice-side of Cap d’Antibes and a stone’s throw from some of our most exclusive property for sale south of France. Visitors come from afar to eat at the restaurant on Plage Keller, the private part of this sandy beach. On either side of the private beach are two public beaches.
- Plage de l’Olivette is a quaint beach near the famous Hotel Eden Roc, which sits at the head of the promontory surrounded by dense trees. Some of the properties for sale on the Cap d’Antibes enjoy wonderful views over this charming beach, which lies next to the port of the same name. But whilst most of the ports in the south of France are full of splendid superyachts, this port is home to some of the small fishing boats that ply their trade on the Mediterranean Sea.
- Plage des Pecheurs is another private beach with a view towards Cannes. It boasts an excellent restaurant and the beach is wider than most along this stretch of coast. To the left of the private beach is a public beach which is great for families.
The road which runs along the side of the cap nearest Juan les Pins is known as the Chemin de Contrabandiers, or the Smugglers path. Along here are a number of small coves which make the perfect place to stop and have a quick swim in between looking at properties for sale on the Cap d’Antibes
